Live Auctions:
Esquis is using Ascending - bid method, which requires minimum of two bidders.
The Auctioneer calls for an opening price and buyers bid against each other until no new bids are placed. The Auction for an item is over when the Auctioneer calls "SOLD".
Online Auctions:
Buyers place bids during the time of the Auction. The highest bid at the ending of the Auction wins the Item. Buyer can enter "MAX BID" and the computer will only bid you up if someone else place a bid up to your maximum bid.
Esquis is running "SOFT CLOSE", meaning if someone places a bid during the last minute, it adds additional time, giving other bidders chance to place another bid.
Online & Live Auctions:
Buyer can bid anywhere in the world with internet connection and compete in real time against other online bidders as well as buyers on the Floor.
